Adult Field Trip: Geology of Hunt Hill

Location: Meet at Upper Level of Richard Grand Recreation Hall at Hunt Hill Nature Center
Explore the fascinating geology of Hunt Hill and the surrounding Northwoods with Dr. Tom Fitz, beginning with an engaging indoor presentation and continuing outdoors on the trails and water. Learn how glaciers, bedrock, and natural forces have shaped the landscape—and how Earth’s history is still visible all around us.
Participants should be able to hike 1-2 miles of uneven terrain in addition to paddling a canoe. Canoes, paddles, and lifejackets will be provided.
