BOCK POKING - aka 'Bierstacheln'- is the 400-year-old tradition of dunking a piping hot metal rod in your ice-cold beer. The hot metal quickly caramelizes the beer, giving you a rich, velvety version of the original beer. The foam tastes like warm, toasted marshmallow while the beer underneath stays cold.

STEP 1: Drink half your bock
STEP 2: Plunge the red-hot poker into your bock
